HEX - Harmony Explorer

Select a key using the Major/Minor key selector keyboards. Related keys for modulation are highlighted using the circle of fifths and closely related keys: High (green), Medium (yellow), Low (orange). After selecting a key, you may enter a chord progression, or explore the Chord Progression Library.

Sound Setup

Choose your audio output source to begin.

Key (Major)
Click a major key. Related keys (dominant, subdominant, their relatives, etc.) are highlighted by priority.
Key (Minor)
Click a minor key. Related keys (relative major, dominant minor, etc.) are highlighted by priority.
Chord Explorer
Click chords to hear them and build progressions. Selected key determines chord names.
No progression yet. Select a key and start clicking chords.
Chord Progression Library
Select a key and then choose a progression from the library to learn more about it.
